Getting Started

Account setup, KYC verification, and your organizer profile

Creating your account

Go to organizer.tikxz.com and sign up. Two methods are available — email+OTP or Google. Both land you in the same onboarding flow.

  1. 1

Email + OTP: Enter your email, receive a one-time password, verify. Done.

  2. 2

Google sign-in: One click. Your Google account email becomes your login. Your Google profile photo is imported by default — replace it with your org logo immediately.

  3. 3

Choose your organizer type during onboarding. This matters for KYC document requirements and how your profile is labelled publicly.

  4. 4

Set your display name and complete the basic profile. You can fill in the rest later, but the bare minimum should be done now.

Organizer TypeWho It Is ForKYC Implications
individualSolo organizers, freelance event managersAadhaar + PAN required. Business proof = Aadhaar selfie.
companyRegistered companies, LLPs, Pvt LtdIncorporation certificate + authorization letter required.
partnershipPartnership firmsPartnership deed required alongside PAN and bank docs.
trustRegistered trusts, charitable bodiesTrust deed required.
societyRegistered societies, alumni associationsSociety registration proof required.
Picking the wrong organizer type is not a cosmetic issue — it determines what documents you upload for KYC. A college student body registering as a "company" will get KYC rejected because the incorporation cert won't exist. Pick the type that actually matches your legal structure.

Your organizer profile

Your organizer profile is publicly visible and linked to every event you create. When an attendee sees your event listing, they can click through to your profile. A complete profile signals legitimacy. An empty one signals laziness — or worse, fraud.

Edit your profile from Dashboard → Profile → Edit Profile.

FieldSpecsWhy It Matters
Profile Photo / LogoSquare image. 500×500px minimum. PNG preferred.Shown next to your name on every event listing.
Display NameYour org name or your full name.Appears on event pages and registration confirmations.
BioMax 500 characters.Tell attendees who you are and what kind of events you run in 2–3 sentences.
WebsiteFull URL including https://Attendees will verify you are real. Give them something to click.
InstagramFull URL (https://instagram.com/...)Social proof for event-goers who check you out before registering.
LinkedInFull URLFor professional and corporate event organizers.
Your profile photo is your logo from a college fest in 2019, JPEG-compressed, white background, 200×200 pixels. No. Upload something clean and high-resolution. Attendees are about to hand you money — they will notice.

Profile completeness also feeds into Tikxz's internal ranking system for event discovery. More complete profiles = higher trust score = better placement in search results. Ten minutes of setup now is worth it.

  • Write your bio in third person for organizations ("XYZ Productions runs cultural events across South India") — not in first person ("we are a team of passionate...").
  • Use a contact email that someone actually monitors — support queries and attendee questions come through here.
  • Add all social links you actively use. Skip the ones that are empty or stale.
  • Your organizer tier (standard, gold, platinum) is tracked by Tikxz based on your event history. Gold and platinum organizers get visibility boosts on the discovery page.

KYC verification

KYC (Know Your Customer) is the identity verification process required before Tikxz can transfer any collected payments to you. It is a regulatory requirement for payment processing in India — not something invented to slow you down. Navigate to Dashboard → Profile → KYC to begin.

The documents required depend on your organizer type. Below are the fields every submission must include:

Document / FieldRequired ForNotes
PAN NumberAll typesThe actual 10-character alphanumeric PAN. Must match your bank account holder name.
PAN Card UploadAll typesClear photo or scan. Both sides if your PAN has info on the back.
Aadhaar NumberIndividual and most other types12-digit Aadhaar UID.
Aadhaar Front + BackIndividual and othersBoth sides clearly legible. No glare, no blur.
Business ProofAll typesVaries by type — see table below.
Cancelled Cheque or PassbookAll typesMust show account number, IFSC, and account holder name clearly.
Bank Account NumberAll typesThe account payouts will be deposited to.
IFSC CodeAll types11-character bank branch code. Verify it against your cheque.
Bank Holder NameAll typesExactly as it appears on the bank account.
GST NumberOptional (companies, some others)Only if your organization is GST-registered.

What counts as "business proof" depends on your organizer type:

Organizer TypeAccepted Business Proof
individualAadhaar selfie (your face with Aadhaar card in hand). Venue confirmation optional.
companyCertificate of incorporation. Authorization letter (board resolution).
partnershipPartnership deed.
trustTrust deed / registration certificate.
societySociety registration certificate. School affiliation certificate if applicable.
KYC review takes 24–48 business hours on weekdays. Submissions on Friday evening will likely be reviewed Monday. Plan accordingly — submit your KYC at least a week before your event goes live.

Common reasons KYC gets rejected:

  • Document image is blurry, cut off, or has glare. Retake in good lighting against a plain surface.
  • Name on PAN does not exactly match the name on the bank account. Not close enough — exact match required.
  • Uploading a personal bank account for a company KYC. The account must be in the organization's name.
  • Expired or unrecognized business proof document.
  • IFSC code doesn't match the branch shown on the cheque. Double-check it on the RBI IFSC portal.
If your KYC is rejected, you get a rejection reason. Fix exactly that issue and resubmit. Do not change things that were not mentioned in the rejection reason — it slows everything down.

What you can and cannot do without KYC

You do not need to wait for KYC approval to start building your events. Most of the platform is accessible before KYC. The one hard gate is payment collection.

The system hard-blocks paid registrations if KYC is not approved — even if you have set up a paid ticket tier and the event is live. Attendees will see the event but cannot complete checkout. This is not a bug. Submit KYC before you announce your event publicly.

Additionally, going live requires not just KYC approval but also 2FA (two-factor authentication) enabled on your account. Both conditions must be true before the system allows status to be changed to live. Set up 2FA from your account security settings.

After KYC is approved

Once KYC is approved, you will receive an email confirmation. Your dashboard changes in a few ways:

  • The KYC banner and warning messages disappear from your dashboard.
  • The "Live" status option becomes available when editing event status (assuming 2FA is also enabled).
  • The full Finance section unlocks — you can see revenue totals, pending payouts, and refund records.
  • Paid ticket tiers can now be set up and will process payments at checkout.
  • Your kyc_status on your account changes from pending to approved.

Next steps after approval:

  1. 1

If you already built an event in draft, go to Dashboard → Events → [Your Event] → Settings and change the status to live.

  2. 2

Set up your ticket tiers under Pricing if you haven't already.

  3. 3

Verify the checkout flow by attempting a registration yourself (use a free tier or a ₹1 test tier).

  4. 4

Share your event link. You are now accepting paid registrations.

KYC approval is permanent — you do not need to re-verify for each event you create. One approval covers all future events under the same organizer account.
